Changed in release 2.58 (4th October 2026) ------------------------------------------ General system : o CHANGE: When right-clicking on the 'Schematic' or 'Schematic->Design Sheets' folder, it is now possible to create a new sheet initialised from a template sheet located in a "Masters->Schematic Libraries" folder. The name of the library folder containing the template design sheets needs to be configured in the File->System Setup dialog under the "Miscellaneous options" section. The default value of this setting is 'Sheets' which matches the name of the default schematic sheets that are distributed with the software. o BUGFIX: If a schematic design sheet was copied and then pasted over the top of an identically named sheet in another design, then a program crash occurred. o BUGFIX: The pitch and unit values for user defined grids were not being correctly saved with the design. o CHANGE: When a user defined grid is selected, this will be indicated in the grid information section of the editor top information bar. Artwork editor : o CHANGE: In the pad sizes editor, if a round pad was defined with a drill diameter larger than that of the pad diameter, then it was impossible to see the location of these pads on the artwork unless the display mode option checkboxes were set to Filled=unchecked and Drill=checked. With no guarantee of being able to see such pads/drill holes, identification of reported artwork check errors could be problematic. To aid identification, round pads smaller than their associated drill hole will now always be displayed as a circle regardless of the selected display mode options. o CHANGE: The 'labels' checkbox in the view pane toggled on/off the display of the parts list reference for the placed parts. This label is always shown at the datum point for the part as determined by the datum location in the associated component outline. As some users may prefer to see a datum mark instead of the part id, the view pane 'Labels' check box has been renamed to 'Labels / Datum', and clicks on it will now cycle through the display of part label, part datum or neither. Schematic editor : o CHANGE: Added a toolbar icon for quick access to the Wires->Delete Corner command.
